Minnesota adds to its bench

Minnesota Timberwolves have added Daniel Brady as an assistant coach for the upcoming NBA season, a move published by RealGM — Basketball Wiretap and TalkBasket that strengthens the franchise's coaching staff.

G League background and NBA experience

Brady arrives after working with the Rio Grande Valley Vipers in the G League, where he spent recent seasons within the structure affiliated with the Houston Rockets and focused on player development and tactical preparation. His résumé also includes previous spells with several NBA organizations, including the New York Knicks, Oklahoma City Thunder and Atlanta Hawks, blending development work with daily coaching duties.

Fit in Minnesota's project

The addition brings depth and familiarity with different working models, supporting game preparation, individual development and planning across the regular season. With this move, Minnesota continues to shape its technical structure ahead of the 2026/27 campaign.
