Leyma Básquet Coruña lifted the Copa Galicia after beating Río Breogán 102-93 in the final played this Sunday at Fontes do Sar in Santiago de Compostela. The Coruña side led from the first quarter, kept control throughout and secured the club’s second regional title, the first in three decades.
The scoreline, venue and pattern of sustained dominance, including a lead that stretched to 25 points, were reported by Piratas del Basket and SPORT — Baloncesto, which both described a final managed from start to finish by the orange side.
Early control and decisive cushion
Leyma moved ahead 25-20, extended to 48-37 at halftime and broke the game open in the third quarter to 77-58, peaking at 90-65 with strong defense and transition play. Breogán pushed in the fourth quarter, but the built-up margin held for the 102-93 final.
Collective effort and impact of the newcomers
The win rested on collective work, defensive pressure and running offense. Among the new additions, George Conditt and Dmytro Skapintsev found rhythm and interior presence, while tournament standout Alonzo Verge again underlined his role as the offensive reference for the project returning to the Liga Endesa.
The Ukrainian center’s contribution complemented a rotation that sustained the high tempo Leyma imposed, keeping the advantage despite the opponent’s late push.

The title adds a second Copa Galicia to Leyma Coruña’s honours, delivered with authority against fellow Liga Endesa opposition at the competition’s regular Santiago venue and during preparation for the 2026/27 season.
