Jassel Pérez also carries recent national-team form —9.4 points, 3.4 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game for the Dominican Republic in five World Cup games— and can add transition scoring and playmaking. Sergi Martínez, meanwhile, keeps a link with the Spanish national setup and continuity within the group.
Risks
The point-guard logjam could become a fit issue if minutes are not distributed cleanly. With four natural ones plus Stenionis arriving late, rotation choices will need to avoid overlap.
The lack of 2025/26 ACB data makes it harder to gauge competitive progress from last season. Several players also arrive with limited recent samples —Maric, Kunc and Geben posted brief World Cup lines— which adds short-term uncertainty.
The early schedule offers little breathing room: after the home opener, Girona travel to Vitoria, A Coruña and Lugo before hosting Leyma Coruña and Joventut.
