Euroleague Basketball has named Bosna BH Telecom Sarajevo as the replacement for AS Monaco Basket in the EuroCup for 2026/27. The Bosnian club, reigning champion at home, will take the Monegasque side's spot in Group D of the continental competition.
Monaco ruled ineligible
AS Monaco Basket was declared ineligible for the 2026/27 BKT EuroCup after being unable to meet the requirements set out in the tournament's official statutes, Euroleague Basketball confirmed.
Bosna returns to Europe after 19 years
Bosna Sarajevo receives a one-season participation berth and returns to the EuroCup for the first time since 2007/08. The capital-city club arrives on the continental stage at a strong moment after winning the Bosnian league title.
Group D reshuffle
The Bosnian club's entry forces a reshuffle in Group D of the 2026/27 EuroCup, which will start with a new team in the slot previously held by AS Monaco Basket. The move was announced on Tuesday and reported by Piratas del Basket, TalkBasket and Mundo Deportivo.
