Barça staged the official presentation of its eleven new signings this Tuesday, just hours before opening official competition in the Lliga Catalana. The event, held after almost three weeks of preseason work, brought together the section’s new leadership and the revamped roster set to contest the 2026/27 season.

The Catalan side used the eve of its Lliga Catalana opener, the first official title of the campaign, to unveil the new project, as detailed by Encestando and Piratas del Basket. After the initial stage in Andorra and with the squad already assembled in Barcelona, the sporting management outlined the main competitive goals ahead of a schedule that will exceed eighty games across the Liga Endesa and the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague.
Eleven arrivals and four survivors
The new Barça adds Umoja Gibson, Tyrese Martin, Stanley Umude, Justin Robinson, Agustín Ubal, Olivier Nkamhoua, Tosan Evbuomwan, Olek Balcerowski, Justin Minaya, Josh Nebo and Yoan Makoundou, eleven additions leaving only four carryovers from last season: Kevin Punter, Dario Brizuela, Joel Parra and Juan Núñez.
The scale of turnover, with eleven new faces and four survivors, underlines the institutional and sporting reset driven by the new front office and leaves the team needing to build chemistry from day one.
Among the newcomers, Gibson’s scoring and pace at guard and Martin’s versatility on the wing stand out as profiles expected to raise shot creation and physicality in both competitions.
Gibson brings ball-handling and perimeter shooting to sustain offense over a long calendar, while Martin adds length, rebounding and defensive versatility on the wings.

Sporting head Xevi Pujol described the summer as intense with changes across all areas, explaining that planning prioritized balance between personality and collective traits over rigid positional fits, with a view to sustaining performance across more than eighty games.
With the roster now presented, Barça enter the Lliga Catalana as the first official test to gauge integration of the new group and fine-tune automatisms before league and European play begins.
