A defensive specialist returns to the market
Sharp, 25, stands 7-foot-5 and signed a two-way contract with the Clippers in August. The center arrived in Los Angeles after earning 2025/26 G League Defensive Player of the Year honors with the Texas Legends, a season in which he averaged 3.9 blocks per game.
His profile is built around rim protection, length and rebounding near the basket. The waiver ends a brief stint in which he did not make his official NBA debut and returns a proven G League defensive presence to the market.
What changes for the Clippers
The move opens one of the Clippers' two-way contract slots ahead of training camp. Los Angeles can keep the spot vacant or use it on another player, although no corresponding addition has been confirmed.
