Bahamas set the tone from the opening tip. A 27-17 first quarter and a 25-17 second gave them an 18-point cushion at halftime, 52-34. Panama answered in the third, 33-28, cutting the deficit to 13, 80-67, but could not sustain the push: Bahamas closed with a 20-15 fourth quarter.
J. V. Edgecombe was the game's scoring leader with 25 points, four rebounds and three assists, shooting 7-for-11 from three-point range. Buddy Hield added 19 with nine boards and Kai Jones posted a 16-point, 11-rebound double-double. F. Miller ran the offence with 13 points and seven assists, while D. Bridgewaters dished five assists despite scoring just six points.
For Panama, R. Lindo replied with 20 points and nine rebounds, E. Romero scored 19 and L. Rodriguez had 18 with nine boards. The visitors could not offset Bahamas' perimeter edge: Panama went 7-for-26 from deep (26.9%) against 18-for-42 (42.9%) for the hosts.
Bahamas' efficiency and rebounding control (40-30) sealed the outcome. They recorded 20 assists to Panama's 10, forced 12 turnovers while committing nine, and added seven blocks to limit interior scoring.
The result moves Bahamas to 4-4 and keeps them fourth in Americas Group F, a significant position in the fourth-placed teams ranking. Panama drop to 2-6 and remain last in the pool, with each defeat further narrowing their path in the closing stretch of the phase.
